Club Activities

Sign up for activities at least 24 hours in advance. If you cannot attend cancel at least 24 hours in advance (if possible).  Out of respect for our instructors and members, we want to give 24 hours notice if scheduled events are cancelled or if number of attendees changes. Please stay at home if you're not feeling well. We don't get sick and you get better.

Gilda's Music Mondays

"Ain't We Got Fun" Music Night: Do you love to sing along to old show tunes? Do you play an instrument, or did you play one long ago and want to take it up again? All levels of skill are joyfully welcome. Join us at the Clubhouse on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month for singing, making music, and laughter! Any questions, contact Jackie at jackiesch@msn.com or Marcy at 206-525-9151. (music group meets after hours)

Kids' Kitchen

Join our popular hands-on cooking class! Kids will learn basic culinary skills, and prepare and consume favorite foods. Limited to 6 participants, ages 5-12. Please sign up by calling Michelle, Program Manager at (206)709-1400.

Nutrition and Cancer: "Clean Eating 101" - Eat Better, Feel Better, Live Better

A healthy diet is critical to maintaining strength and wellness and to increasing your body's ability to recuperate from cancer treatment or other serious illness. Clean eating is simply eating real and unprocessed food. It is an excellent option for anyone and can be adapted to fit almost any lifestyle. We will be discussing exactly what clean eating is, and what to eat/not to eat. Ellie Howard, our instructor, is a young adult cancer survivor. She will demonstrate some easy and delicious recipes foryou to try. Join us for this informative and fun experience.

The Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu

Taught by Colleen Foye Bollen, a professional Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner with more than a decade of experience, you will learn how to tap into your body's innate wisdom through Jin Shin Jyutsu - an ancient Japanese system for harmonizing the body, mind and spirit through gentle touch. These self-help tools can assist with side effects from chemotherapy, radiation and surgery while reducing stress and improving a sense of emotional well-being. Anyone can learn and benefit from Jin Shin Jyutsu. No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing. Each class is tailored to the specific interests and needs of participants.

Workshop: Writing Through Cancer - 4 week series

For survivors, caregivers and others touched by cancer. Explore your cancer experience and how it fits into your broader narrative through inspirational writing, discussion and prompts. Wednesdays October 1, 8, 15, 22, 2014.

Taught by Gail Kretchmer, a creative and freelance published writer who has been teaching creative and therapeutic writing since 2009.

Yoga with Stacy

Enjoy conscious breath with flowing movement in these gentle yoga classes. Nurturing and restorative. No experience necessary. For people of all physical abilities. Please wear comfortable clothing.
